A resilient networking layer for modern enterprises

Lira-VPN is not “another VPN app”. It is a secure, resilient enterprise connectivity platform that keeps branches, offices and mobile users connected across unreliable, heterogeneous WAN environments.

WHAT IS LIRA-VPN?

One corporate network, carried over many transports.

Lira-VPN sits between your enterprise network and the WAN transports available at each site. Applications and users see a stable corporate network; underneath, Lira works with Internet, fibre, MPLS and cellular paths to keep that network reachable.

It uses VPN technology, modern encrypted transport techniques and multi-WAN networking — but the customer-facing value is broader: continuity of the business network, not merely encryption of traffic.

WHY IT EXISTS

Because backup is not the same as resilience.

Many organisations already pay for a second link — a backup ISP, an LTE router, a standby circuit. But a backup connection has limited value if it is not automatically integrated into the corporate network. Lira-VPN provides the secure networking layer that makes multiple connectivity options work together as one resilient corporate network.

HOW IT WORKS

High-level operation, without implementation internals.

Conceptual flow — exact behaviour depends on the deployment design for each site.

StageWhat happensBusiness meaning
1 · ConnectBranch gateways and authorised Windows clients establish encrypted Lira sessions over available WAN paths.Sites and users join the corporate overlay through whatever access they have.
2 · CarryCorporate traffic travels inside the encrypted overlay across underlying transports.Connectivity works over networks the enterprise does not fully control.
3 · AdaptWhere supported by the deployment, connectivity moves away from unavailable or degraded paths and recovers when they return.A WAN failure stops being an automatic business outage.
4 · ObserveWAN status, tunnel status, failover and recovery events are available to operations and security teams.“The branch is offline” becomes actionable operational information.

Multi-WAN resilience

Lira can work with multiple network paths at a site — for example a primary fibre or MPLS path plus an Internet or LTE/5G secondary. The overlay presents one corporate network while the underlying paths change. Deployments are scoped to the transports each site actually has; not every site uses every technology.

Secure overlay

Traffic between corporate endpoints travels encrypted across the underlying transports. This makes it practical to use Internet and cellular access — which may be cheaper or more readily available than dedicated private circuits — for corporate connectivity, as part of a wider security architecture (see Security).

Branch & site connectivity

Branch gateways join the overlay to reach headquarters, data centres and other branches. Central services — ERP, payments, authentication, file and communication systems — stay reachable through the common overlay rather than through per-link workarounds.

Windows connectivity (Road Warrior)

Authorised mobile users establish secure Lira connectivity from Windows devices while travelling or working away from corporate offices — over home, office, hotel or mobile-broadband Internet. Secure corporate connectivity beyond the branch.

DESIGNED FOR DIFFICULT NETWORKS

Resilience despite the underlying network — not instead of it.

Lira is engineered for environments with high latency, packet loss, intermittent connectivity, cellular variability and heterogeneous providers. It does not eliminate those underlying problems; it is designed to provide resilience despite them. Where a path is slow or lossy, the goal is to keep the business operating on the best available path — and to make the condition visible to the teams responsible.

Technically honest scope

We do not promise perfect uptime or guaranteed zero downtime, or that any single product can “solve” WAN quality. What Lira provides is a resilient encrypted networking layer that reduces dependence on any single provider or technology — as one component of the enterprise’s continuity and security strategy.
