Secure connectivity is the foundation. Security is the architecture.
Lira-VPN provides secure, encrypted connectivity and forms part of a wider corporate security architecture — it does not replace the enterprise security stack.
POSITIONING
A secure networking foundation — not a replacement for the enterprise security stack.
Lira contributes encrypted transport, resilience and network telemetry. Prevention, detection, identity and response remain the job of the dedicated security layers around it.
What we do not claim
Lira-VPN does not, by itself, secure your entire enterprise. It does not replace your firewall or SOC, does not provide complete Zero Trust, and does not guarantee security. Any vendor promising that from a connectivity product alone should be questioned — including us, which is why we state it plainly here.
| Capability | Business purpose | Relation to Lira-VPN |
|---|---|---|
| Lira-VPN | Secure, resilient corporate connectivity | Core — the encrypted overlay and its telemetry |
| Next-generation firewalls | Control permitted network traffic | Complementary — operates with traffic Lira carries |
| Identity & MFA | Ensure users are properly authenticated | Complementary — governs who may connect |
| EDR / XDR | Protect computers and servers | Complementary — endpoint layer Lira does not claim |
| IDS / IPS | Detect and block suspicious network activity | Complementary — inspects what traverses the network |
| DNS security | Block malicious destinations | Complementary |
| SIEM | Bring security events together | Complementary — can consume Lira network telemetry |
| SOC / security operations | Continuous monitoring and response | Complementary — investigates incidents using network evidence |
| Vulnerability management | Find weaknesses before attackers exploit them | Complementary |
| NAC | Control which devices join the network | Complementary |
| Backup & disaster recovery | Recover after destructive incidents | Complementary |
NETWORK EVENTS AS SECURITY INTELLIGENCE
Lira contributes reliable network evidence.
Lira-VPN can provide information about WAN status, tunnel status, failover and recovery, packet loss, latency, throughput, connection failures and branch availability. Combined with firewall, identity and endpoint data, these events feed the organisation’s security intelligence.
Lira does not independently declare an attack. It contributes reliable network evidence to the systems — and teams — that investigate incidents.
For financial-sector and regulated readers
We make no claim of PCI DSS, ISO, banking or financial-sector certification on this site. Lira-VPN can form part of a broader secure and resilient enterprise architecture; regulated organisations should evaluate it within their own compliance programme alongside their auditors and security providers.
Discuss how Lira fits your security architecture.
Bring your firewall, identity and monitoring picture — we will discuss where resilient connectivity strengthens it, and where other layers remain essential.
